絵画で語りうることはすべて絵画で語る方がいい。
私の好きなジャコメッティの言葉ですが心の奥底に感じ入ります。同じように、彫刻でしか語れないものがあり、それぞれの流儀でしか語れないものを知ることだと思います。
制作の中から余分なものを削ぎ落とし、心に響く精髄だけを取り出し畏怖の心持ちを筆先に伝えて画面の静寂の中に刻み込みたい。 若狹悌尚

It's my favorite Jacometti word, but it really touches my heart. In the same way, there are things that can only be told in sculpture, and I think it is to know what can only be said in each style.
