村田先生が亡くなって3年
先生の所作や言い回しが
何かにつけ脳裏に浮かぶ
寄せては返す波のように・・・
いまだに心の傷が癒えない
岩倉にあるご自宅のアトリエで初めて会って40年の歳月が流れた
作家と画商を越えて色んな話をさせてもらった
先生は２歳上で「カズオ」と呼ばれ、
兄貴のような存在だった
30代40代50代60代そして70代と変わることなく気の置けない間柄であった
体制に媚びることなくフラットで弱き者には優しいひとであった
写生の線は迷うことなく美しくひかれ
その作品は精緻で時空を内包した表現になっている
晩年は花をこよなく愛した
